Theia's SL940P with it's long focal length magnifies objects from far away for unobtrusive security.
Telephoto lenses
Theia's telephoto varifocal lenses allows the user to optimize the field of view to zoom in on an area of interest far away (during camera setup). The multi megapixel resolution lens supports new 4k cameras with 1/2.3" sensors and cameras up to 5 megapixels. This allows the user to digitally zoom in up to 16X while still maintaining better than SD image resolution. The lens is IR corrected for use with true Day/Night cameras giving a bright image in both visible and artificial IR illumination. This IR correction will keep the image sharp in daylight, at night, and in between when there is a mix of visible and IR illumination without the need for a camera with automatic back focus adjustement (the lens will work great on cameras that support auto back focus adjstement and those true Day/Night cameras that do not).

Theia offers several families high quality megapixel lenses designed to high image resolution standards. The use of aspheric lens elements and extra low dispersion glass types (ELD-glass) enable the unique features of each of Theia's lens families, be it ultra wide angle or short telephoto. Theia's process of precision engineering and prototype development and validation assure every lens shipped to our customers will be consistently high quality. Choosing the right lens for your application depends on many factors including field of view, required image resolution, day/night capability, and cost. To assist in lens selection, Theia offers an image simulator/ lens calculator that relates FOV, resolution, and object distance. We also offer many educational materials for a better understanding of the technology and selection of Theia's optimal lens for your application.

SL940
Theia's SL940 with it's long focal length magnifies objects from far away for unobtrusive security.
Similar to Theia's other lenses, the SL940 is a high quality lens designed to allow the installer to take full advantage of the high resolution of HD and multi megapixel cameras. The lens can be used on cameras up to five megapixel resolutiongiving a crisp image from edge to edge.
The lens is IR corrected for use with true Day/Night cameras. This IR correction focuses IR light from artificial illumination at the same plane as the visible light allowing the image to remain in focus when the Day/Night camera switches to night mode. Unlike lenses without IR correction, the night image will not be out of focus when using IR illumination.
The telephoto will be availalbe in a fully motorized version for cameras with built-in lenses. More information can be found on the TL936 overview.
